Social trading, built onchain

MoonShip is building an onchain foundation for social trading. It gives people, relationships and ideas a public onchain representation that applications can compose and program, alongside assets and capital.

A trader’s judgment helps us discover an asset; an idea turns attention into action. Through real trades, MoonShip makes capital influence and economic connections visible: who moves capital, which ideas lead to participation, and whom people choose to trade through. Capital becomes a way to discover people and information.

An open network to build on

Our vision is for social trading to take place entirely onchain: public, composable and programmable. Assets, capital, people, relationships and ideas should connect through a shared layer of economic records and rules.

A trader’s onchain identity can connect to assets; an economic relationship can be used by another application; an idea can become the source of a trade and the value it generates. This shared foundation can support new ways to discover, trade and collaborate, with incentives grounded in real trading activity.

We are starting with onchain subjects, settled relationships, Relation Tokens and native text posts. Identity authentication, indexing and private communication are supported by their respective services today. The fully onchain network is the direction we are building toward.

Investing in people

Investing in a person starts with confidence in their judgment and ability to keep discovering ideas. On MoonShip, qualifying trades can earn Relation Tokens. Eligible holders participate, under protocol rules, in a portion of actual fees attributed to that trader.

Choosing whom to trade through can become an ongoing economic relationship. A profile records both the capital a trader has moved and the people and ideas they have chosen to act through.
