Frequently asked questions
Clear answers about the protocol, the app and current availability.
Release reference · Updated 14 October 2026On this page
What does “social trading” mean here?
Trading experiences shaped by people: discovering assets through content, choosing a source, following trading activity and building communities. MoonShip currently implements explicit source-selected buys; automated copying is a future application direction.
Can MoonShip automatically copy a trader today?
No. The current app does not continuously mirror positions. The broader protocol narrative includes copy trading as an integration direction, which requires a separate authorization and execution implementation.
Do I need to run a backend?
No. Install the Chrome extension or open app.moonship.online; both use the hosted service for identity verification, quotes, receipt processing and indexed reads. Local companion workflows remain available to developers.
Is Bob-ETH the ETH I bought?
No. The swap delivers the chosen asset to its receiving wallet. Bob-ETH is a separate Relation Token issued on Monad after accepted settlement, associated with Bob and the exact asset.
Does a Relation Token guarantee income?
No. Eligible V0.4 holders share a fixed portion of actual received subject fees. Income depends on qualifying future activity. Tokens do not guarantee appreciation, returns or asset redemption.
Does selecting a source prove who influenced me?
It records your explicit choice. Page observations do not authenticate authorship or prove psychological causation. Account control, spending authorization and exchange evidence are checked separately.
Has the protocol been independently audited?
Independent audit completion is not recorded for this release. Tests, fork demonstrations and bytecode verification have separate scopes. See the security page for the current trust model.
